The anxiety caused by feeling on the ‘wrong side’ is encrypted in the simplified dialogues with immigration officers, the speed of the walk and the narrowing of the peep hole.
The image is looped within the frame; the person is erased and replaced by the action of crossing back and forth without arriving anywhere, almost becoming the motion.
It is only by moving that one can stay.
